Jessica started in the leisure industry as a lifeguard, before following a career in marketing which combined her digital media skills with a passion for active lifestyles. As Marketing and Communications Manager for Abbeycroft Leisure, she led the marketing for 18 leisure facilities across Suffolk and Cambridgeshire as well as a variety of sports development projects. These included promotional campaigns for Women on Wheels, a women’s only cycling event; StreetVelodrome, a pop-up accessible velodrome; and Stage 6 of the 2017 Tour of Britain.
More recently, Jessica managed the promotions and communications for Visit Cambridge and Beyond, working closely with Visit Britain, the Department of Culture, Media and Sport; the University of Cambridge and other key stakeholders to promote Cambridge as a destination internationally. Cambridge is synonymous with cycling and Jessica is passionate about the benefits of children enjoying cycling beyond just safety. She is keen to promote the impact cycling has on healthy lifestyles, mental health, social wellbeing and the environment.
