Molly trained and worked as a journalist in Sheffield before moving into communications a couple of years into her career. Since then, she has worked with Sheffield’s Business Improvement District, delivering communications and marketing campaigns to boost the visitor and night-time economies in the city. And the Sheffield City Region Mayoral Combined Authority, where she worked with Mayor Dan Jarvis and Active Travel Commissioner Dame Sarah Storey to promote and enable active travel across South Yorkshire. After a brief foray into public affairs Molly started with Bikeability in August 2020, where she looks after our content and communications.
Having started cycling to school as a teenager and graduating to a cycle commuter as an adult, Molly is passionate about encouraging more women to see cycling as an option for short, everyday journeys. To prove that you don’t need lycra to ride a bike, she’s no stranger to cycling in a skirt, even if the British weather often works against her!
Outside of work you can usually find Molly exploring the footpaths, bike trails, lakes and rivers of the Peak District. She strongly believes in improving access to the great outdoors and enjoys helping more children discover the joys of cycling through her work with Bikeability.
