Zsolt is a Transport Planner with almost 20 years experience specialising in promoting walking, cycling and public transport. He developed a keen interest in behaviour change whilst undertaking his a BA in Human Geography at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He then undertook an MSc in Transport Planning at Oxford Brooks’ School of Planning.
He has spent the majority of his career in Local Government where he initially worked in policy developing Local Transport Plans. He then managed a team that delivered Exeter’s Cycling Demonstration Town, Devon’s Local Sustainable Transport Fund and the Dartmoor – cycling in National Parks projects.
Since leaving Local Government Zsolt now works in a freelance capacity and is currently involved in a diverse range of projects. These include; being part of the DfT Technical Support contract to Local Authorities with their Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans; developing a new multi-use trail in East Devon, supporting the UK’s first public E-bike sharing programme in Exeter and project managing delivery of a stage of the Tour of Britain bicycle race.
